BE A JSCREEN AMBASSADOR

JScreen is looking for student interns, with bonus available for students who successfully coordinate an on campus genetic screening event. The expectation is to create awareness about JScreen and the importance of Jewish genetic screening on campus through online and on-the-ground efforts. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tabling on campus
  • Hosting an educational event or speaking at a Jewish social gathering, i.e., Shabbat dinner
  • Engaging with Jewish organizations
  • Actively promoting on social media and other creative online outlets, i.e., YouTube video, blog posts

*JScreen will provide funding and resources towards these activities.

The ideal candidate is someone who is involved and well-connected in Jewish life on campus; is social media savvy; has event planning experience; has strong critical thinking skills; is highly creativity; is passionate about helping the Jewish community and playing a role in the prevention of devastating diseases; has time available to devote to the project; has strong writing and public speaking skills. Pre-health students ideal (nursing, medical, public health) but not a requirement.
