What is the
testing process?

  • 01
Complete the online kit request. You will need to include information about your doctor or health-care provider so that JScreen can coordinate a test order on your behalf.
  • 02
Once a valid test order is received, JScreen will mail you a saliva collection kit with a pre-paid envelope to send the sample to the lab.
  • 03
Results are typically available within 3-4 weeks, and a 15-20 minute phone consultation with a genetic counselor is required for most participants.
  • 04
When the entire process is complete, a copy of your results will be emailed to you and sent to your ordering provider.

How much
does it cost?

Popular
$149
Valued at more than $1,000

The only out-of-pocket expense for individuals who provide their health insurance information is a program fee of $149 per person – regardless of insurance coverage or deductibles.

Depending on the particular benefits for the policy holder, the lab may file a claim with insurance for the actual cost of testing. Even if the claim is denied or insurance is not billed, your only out-of-pocket expense is the $149 program fee.

Our generous donors subsidize a large portion of the test fees, making this flat program fee possible.
