Orit Berliner

Born in Chicago and raised in Atlanta, Orit Reisman Berliner attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she met her husband, Scott. After 17 years in New York City working in public relations for fashion and accessories brands and later transitioning to the nonprofit sector with Dress for Success, Orit and her family returned to Atlanta in 2018. She joined jscreen in 2022, starting in the front office and now serving as Marketing Manager.

Orit’s connection to jscreen is deeply personal. After her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis in 1995 and later as an adult, discovering she carries the BRCA2 gene mutation, Orit chose to undergo a preventative double mastectomy in 2016, reducing her breast cancer risk by more than 75%. Her own experience as a BRCA “previvor” inspired her passion for empowering others with access to genetic testing and education, helping individuals and families make proactive, informed health decisions.
